Welcome to Online Jim Corbett Booking

Corbett Tiger Reserve has captured the imagination of many with its diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. The natural uniqueness of the area was recognized long ago as a result of which in 1936 Corbett attained the distinction of becoming the first National Park to be established in mainland Asia. The park was then named as the 'Hailey National Park' and was later renamed as 'Corbett National Park' after James Edward Corbett the noted hunter turned conservationist of the area. The area came under 'Project Tiger' in 1971 when Gov. of India launched this ambitious conservation project.

Top Zones

Corbett Safari Nightstay Zones

The Dhikala zone is one of the most frequented safari zones of Corbett Park by travelers and also the most famous. Situated at a distance of 50 km inside the dense forest of the park, the Dhikala range is mainly known for its panoramic valley views and wildlife sightings. Situated on the edge of the Patli Doon valley, there are several Ramganga channels present in this zone, which turn into reservoirs. This zone has a large grassy plain, which also includes Dhikala chaur and Phulai chaur.

Bijrani Zone

Among all the safari zones, the Bijrani zone is the most suitable zone for tiger watching after the Dhikala zone. The picturesque landscape of this zone, which has large meadows, is full of Chaur and Sal trees, which are Known as the Chaur and Sal forest, the numerous waterholes and streams of the river make it no less attractive than the Dhikala zone. The chances of tiger sighting in the Bijrani zone have always been the same as in the Dhikala zone and also frequent tiger sightings are reported by tourists who have returned from safari.

Jhirna Zone

Jhirna Zone of Corbett National Park is a popular ecotourism zone. The park was earlier divided into tourist zones, but after a long time in 1994, the Jhirna zone was also added to it. In order to expand this zone by the administration of the Tiger Reserve, a village named Jhirna and a lot of agricultural land from the other two villages were included in the reserve area of the Jhirna Zone. And all three villages were shifted to other nearby places. The redevelopment of the land and the development of an exotic green forest were also completed thereafter.

Dhela zone was developed in the southern buffer forest part of the park. In the entire 75-year history of the park, only seven tigers have been seen in the forests of Dhela Zone at a time. Various species of wildlife including sambar deer are found in the mixed forest plantations and moist deciduous shelters in the forests of this zone, which attracts the tigers a lot, mainly because they get easy prey here.
